Unique Graduation Invites
It’s harder to find unique graduation invites than you might think. Don’t get me wrong, there are heaps of gorgeous invites out there for graduation. However, I keep finding the same basic ideas, gold and black or black and white. These are great ideas, and I have a few of those myself because they work great for graduation. Nevertheless, I wanted to create a few unique graduation invites because I love graduation, it’s a fantastic feeling.
Today I’m sharing 40 unique graduation invitations. You’ll find 20 different themes below (yes, black with gold and black with white are included). I’m also giving away a free advice card. I love these cards for the graduate. People are going to give their opinion on your life anyway, mine as well get it in writing. 🙂 Get the card on the Journey Junkies page or sign up here if you’re not a member.
20 Themes & 40 Unique Invitations
The first design is a classic chalkboard. Chalkboard is perfect for graduation because, well, it’s school, right? There are so many different ways you can go with it too.
Next up is this travel design. It’s a personal favorite of mine as I love to travel. However, it also just works so well with graduation. I remember when I graduated from college and I felt the world was just waiting for me. Adventure was definitely out there, and school itself was also quite the adventure.
After all those finals are over what’s the one thing you really want to do? Chill. So have a grill and chill party to celebrate the end (or is it the beginning… I’m getting deep, I know).
Fiesta themes seem to be really popular right now. I just did a fiesta birthday invite for my cousin, and a fiesta graduation invite for a client. It’s such a fun theme for any journey.
Another popular theme for any type of party is the luau. You can party like a pineapple or flamingle with your best friends.
These next two designs are my fun-shaped invites. If you haven’t been following my designs, you may not know how much I love making unique shaped designs. If you love it too, check out my fun shaped save the dates and fun shaped birthday invites. The first graduation design is this fun ticket shape.
Another fun shaped invite is this graduation cap. Your guests will definitely love these unique graduation invite. If you like the hat shaped design, be sure to check out our matching advice cards, you can find them here.
I know there are so many times when school feels just like a race. You want to stop and pass out but you keep going. Or was that just me? Regardless, that’s the inspiration behind this theme. You’ve finished the race, you survived, tell your family and friends.
This next design is for all the lawyers or prospective lawyers out there. If you’ve completed law school, be sure to let everyone know, that’s a huge accomplishment. This jury summons design may be a bit cheesy but it will definitely let everyone know.
If the cheesy themed designs aren’t your thing, you may like this one better. The tassel was definitely worth the hassle, right?
Journalism majors inspired this next design. Made to look like a newspaper (because people still read those, right?) this design will definitely let your fiends and family know about your achievements.
This calculator design actually has a little bit of a funny story to it. My husband is a C.P.A. and when we got married I definitely wanted him to have a calculator shaped cake. He nixed that idea thinking it was too cheesy. However, I still love it and it inspired my calculator invite below.
Graduation is all about the diploma right? That’s the theory behind this diploma themed graduation invite.
Next up for unique graduation invites is this vintage themed design. It’s great because you can add color to it and let’s face it, school’s been around awhile, so it’s pretty vintage. It also feels like you’ve been in school forever sometimes, see vintage works on multiple levels.
If rustic is your thing, then this design is definitely for you. I always use burlap when making new invites as it matches every color.
I know I said at the start of this post that gold and black seems to be all I find when it comes to graduation invites, but it is a great design for graduation. These below are a couple of my most popular designs. If you like the gold and black, be sure to also check out our matching advice cards or our grad libs.
Keep it simple with this next design. It’s super easy to make it your favorite colors or your school colors too.
Next up is stripes. Also a popular design and easily customizable to any color scheme. We also have a matching advice card for this design as well. Be sure to check it out.
Black and white are another popular design for graduation invites but there’s a reason for that. It works for just about anyone. If you like to keep it classic, this is your design.
Finally, this last design is all about celebrating what’s lies ahead for the graduate. The best is definitely yet to come so celebrate that with your party.
Unique graduation invites are super fun to make and I hope you found something that resonates with you. Whether you’re graduating or you know someone who is, it’s a huge accomplishment and deserves to be celebrated. Don’t forget to download the free advice card on the Journey Junkies page.
