Spring Baby Shower
Spring is officially here and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a party. Lately, I am loving all the garden party ideas I keep seeing and I’m so excited because I’m currently planning a garden themed baby shower for my sister. I’ll be sharing all the juicy bits and pieces that went into that party next month but first a fun spring baby shower game. During the planning process I came up with a game that is my new favorite. Keep reading to find out what it is and head over to the Journey Junkies page for some free spring graphics.
Best Baby Shower Games
However, before we get to the best spring baby shower game, I want to talk about three other games that are great for any baby shower and the three key reasons why. If you’re going to have games at the baby shower, then they should fall under at least one of these categories. Make it a keepsake, useful, and/or simple.
Love and Wishes
Love and Wishes is basically advice for the mom-to-be but less pressure. It can be really hard to come up advice on the spot for some people and these cards are a version of that, but just writing your love to the baby and new mom, instead of advice. However, it still leaves the door open for advice should the guests want to add that in. These make a great keepsake for the new mom and baby.
Bring a Book Cards
The next game that should be at every shower is the bring a book cards. Help the parents to be start a library by asking guests to bring a book. This is also so simple because all you do is put it on the invite, nothing extra has to be done on your part.
Diaper Raffle
I promise I’ll get to the perfect spring baby shower game next but first, I also love diaper raffle cards. The one thing the new parents will definitely need is diapers, so every shower should have a diaper raffle. Just do it. It’s incredibly useful for the new parents so they will love you for it.
The Perfect Spring Baby Shower Game
Now that we’ve established what makes a perfect baby shower game and why, let’s get to that perfect spring baby shower game. When I was getting married, at my bridal shower, my sister had guests sign cards to be opened on our anniversaries. Each year, one of my favorite things to do is to open that one card signed by a guest at my shower.
Therefore, I got to thinking why couldn’t this be a baby shower game as well? Obviously the baby isn’t going to need anniversary cards, but birthday cards? Heck yes. But the best part of this is that it’s also easy to include the spring theme with it. You can help the baby “grow” with birthday cards. I started the cards at the seventh birthday, but you could do just the milestone birthdays as well, or start wherever you’d like.
Why It’s Perfect
A Keepsake
So what makes this game so perfect? Well, it checks all the boxes. These birthday cards are definitely a keepsake for mom and baby. And they’re a keepsake that they can enjoy for years to come.
Simple
These birthday cards and also be super simple. You could just buy pre-made cards at any grocery store, download ours from our shop, or make your own.
Useful
Finally, these cards are also useful mom. She’s already got birthday cards to give her baby as he/she grows. It’s a special gift that the whole family can look forward to.
