Last week I started sharing games you can play at home. Since we’re all a little stuck, er, I mean safe, at home right now, I’m doing what I can by giving away more free games. Can you find these elsewhere? Probably. Can you make up your own games? Absolutely. This is just what I do. I create. I make things pretty and right now, I personally need a lot of “pretty” around me. If you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about, then head over to this post here for the first 5 games I shared.

I should definitely note that I am NOT a trained fitness instructor or doctor. Consult your doctor before doing any kind of exercise. Use your common sense and know that my illustrations are not necessarily completely scientifically accurate. They are designed for those of you who have a basic understanding of the exercises already. The information provided is based on research that I’ve included in the files.

If you’re ready for the games now, head over to the Journey Junkies page to download them. You can also sign up here if you’re not a member, it’s free!

More Games to Play at Home

Last week’s games were all about getting you excited for spring, maybe even ready to go outside. Now this week, I’m sharing games to get you moving! Getting active is so important right now, as it really always is.

If you’re working from home, it can be hard to make yourself get moving. It’s way to easy to start working and never get up. I’ve been there. Plus, really you should be doing cardio, strength, and stretching every week, but who’s got the time? Well, that’s my goal this week: to get you moving in just a few minutes a day.

Games to Get You Moving

Now let’s get to it. Aren’t you ready to get moving? 😉

Yoga Flash Cards

Before you start moving too much, you should really warm-up with light stretching, that’s where this first game comes into play (pun intended). Use these yoga flash cards to stretch where you need it most. You can play two ways:

  1. Choose a random card from the pile without looking or
  2. Each card describes what the pose helps, so if you have a certain ailment, try the pose that coincides with it.

Strength Tic-Tac-Toe

Now that you’ve stretched it out a little, try these strength challenges. Grab a partner and play tic-tac-toe by completing the challenges. First one to get three in a row, wins! You must complete the exercise shown in the space you want to

Cardio Bingo

Everyone loves a good Bingo game, it’s classic, and it just works on so many levels. Play cardio Bingo by trying to accomplish all the things on the card, or make a straight line. Play alone, or with others to make it more challenging.
