Recently, I was contacted by a bride that had a unique request for her wedding save the dates and invites. I was immediately excited to create something brand new. I love it when someone comes to me with something I’ve never done before. It was a Fiesta themed wedding.
Why a Fiesta Wedding Theme?
She was having a fiesta themed wedding because her family was very into the Fiesta celebration that happens every year in San Antonio. However, she wasn’t too sold on the idea at first. She really wanted to keep the vintage feel at her wedding not have super bright colors which is usually a staple in the Fiesta celebration.
So I was tasked with finding a way to blend these two styles together and I loved every minute of it. If you have an unique idea and aren’t sure how to pull it off, this is the time to hire a designer for sure. A good graphic designer can take your ideas and make it happen in a variety of ways. If you need help, you can always contact me.
Enjoy these save the dates and invites I created for her to choose from. Head to the bottom of the post to find out which ones she picked!
6 Invites + Save the Dates
Fun-Shaped
To start us off, I’m sharing my favorite type of design which is the fun-shaped magnet. For this one, I used the cactus for a bit of fun.
Dia de los Muertos
This next design is the one chosen by the bride I talked about above. She wanted to include Dia de los Muertos in her save the date and also wanted the flowers she was using in her wedding incorporated. I love how it came out.
Lace Banner
I currently live in San Antonio and there’s a large hispanic culture here and I love it. Here there’s a fiesta market and they have the lace banners above the square. I love going to the market on the weekend and soaking up the culture as well as taking pictures of the banners. I used them as inspiration for my next design.
Floral Ring
A super easy way to incorporate the fiesta theme into your wedding without bright colors or over-doing it, is in the flowers. Using the cactus or succulents even in a wedding bouquet will provide that chance. This design incorporates fiesta floral graphics.
Simple Cactus
Next up is a simple design feature another version of the cactus. Perfect for the bride who loves simplicity but wants the fiesta theme.
Chalkboard
Finally, I love doing a chalkboard background with my designs and I couldn’t resist with these. I love how the black really makes the cactus pop.
