A fiesta wedding theme is not one you see often but when you do it’s too fun. Recently, I was contacted by a bride that had a unique request for her wedding save the dates and invites. She was having a fiesta themed wedding but wanted to keep the vintage feel as well.
I was immediately excited to create something brand new. Therefore, I’m currently working on the entire wedding package for her. So far, the save the dates have been completed, but we still have more pieces to come and I’m so excited with what we’ve come up with so far.
Fiesta Wedding Theme
Today I’m sharing my designs for a fiesta themed wedding. This is really a different sort of post in that these are all “works in progress” at this point. As I said above, I’m currently in the midst of working with a bride to create her entire wedding paper package. Here save the date magnets have been completed, but we’re still re-working the invites and RSVPs. This design has been so much fun to create that I couldn’t resist going ahead and sharing the process. Perhaps when it’s all done, I’ll do a post with the winners.
6 Invites + Save the Dates
To start us off, I’m sharing my favorite type of design which is the fun-shaped magnet. For this one, I used the cactus for a bit of fun.
This next design is the one chosen by the bride I talked about above. She wanted to include Dia de los Muertos in her save the date and also wanted the flowers she was using in her wedding incorporated. I love how it came out.
I currently live in San Antonio and there’s a large hispanic culture here and I love it. Here there’s a fiesta market and they have the lace banners above the square. I love going to the market on the weekend and soaking up the culture as well as taking pictures of the banners. I used them as inspiration for my next design.
A super easy way to incorporate the fiesta theme into your wedding without bright colors or over-doing it, is in the flowers. Using the cactus or succulents even in a wedding bouquet will provide that chance. This design incorporates fiesta floral graphics.
Next up is a simple design feature another version of the cactus. Perfect for the bride who loves simplicity but wants the fiesta theme.
Finally, I love doing a chalkboard background with my designs and I couldn’t resist with these. I love how the black really makes the cactus pop.
